MWIPT is a team of independent incident photographers operating within the Indianapolis Metropolitan Area. We use modern technology and custom software to accurately and efficiently track and capture major incidents in our coverage areas. All captured media (video and images) are made available to local news stations within minutes.
Some of our best incidents are featured on our social media profiles, including Instagram, and YouTube. LIVE updates may be posted on our Twitter.
What areas do you cover?
Currently, MWIPT covers the Indianapolis Metro area on a part-time basis (Includes Beech Grove, Lawrence, and Speedway).
Do you post stories/articles?
Generally, no. Our goal is to capture "LIVE" footage of major incidents, and make that content available to the media for use on-air.
Are you a full time group?
Our group consists of around 10 part-time/volunteer photographers. We do not have any full-time photographers active, however this is an option we'd like to explore in the future.
What incidents do you cover?
We cover most "news-worthy" incidents, such as structure fires, vehicle fires, major accidents, shootings, and much more. In some cases you may see us on the scene of minor incidents, however this is likely just to capture pictures/video for our social media profiles.

How much do you charge news stations?
Agreements are made on a case-by-case basis. In some cases, media may be licensed free of charge. Contact us for more info.
How do I obtain media?
We generally only distribute to news stations and public safety agencies.
For time-sensitive requests, you can call our media hotline @ (463) 213-3354.

Can our department use your video?
Police/Fire Departments that would like to use our video for training or investigation purposes can contact us at [email protected] - requests must be made from your department email.
We will respond via email within 12-48 hours (depending on the request).
We do not have specific hours due to the nature of our group.
